Are you looking to make a difference this Giving Hearts Day? Every dollar you donate can make an impact in the safety of the area! The Jamestown Rural Fire Department is trying to update our outdated hydraulic rescue tool set and we could use your help reaching our goal of $46,000 to accomplish this!
Your donations will help us replace these aging, yet important life-saving rescue tools. Our current hydraulic tools were bought in the 1990’s and require a heavy gas engine hydraulic pump with only about 12 feet of hose which severely limits our flexibility. This slows down deployment of these tools in emergency situations such as vehicle accidents. Additionally, these tools are not suited to use with the modern construction of vehicles that use alloyed metals such as boron rods that require much higher strength to cut through.
If we can meet our goal, we can purchase modern, battery operated tools that are extremely versatile and portable allow for much faster deployment times. These newer tools also have increased strengths that allow rescues on vehicles and equipment that use high strength alloyed metals.
